Lovely day, lovely boot sales

.... and lots of lovely boot sale goodies!
I had a great time in the sun and found formica kitchen tables, wonderful paintings of poodles, a dressmakers dummy and these fabulous fairies!

Custom wiggle dress

I just finished this custom order wiggle dress and had to take a quick shot of it before taking it to the post office.
I just love the vintage cotton 'Horrocks' sheep in the woods fabric.
This version has cute little sleeves - Hmmm .... I think I will do some more with sleeves.

bunting and fairy cakes

This weekend at our site started in a flurry of gorgeous bunting .... and gorgeous girls!
All set to celebrate Anouska's up-coming nuptials (congrats!). It's a surprise and here's how the girls decked out the bride-to-be's trailer.
All this and a fairy cake delivery at 9am the next day? That's what you call good friends :-)

Another quiet night at 'the spy'....

We were out last night celebrating Charlotte's B day - another quiet night in Ventnor, we all took our crochet :-)
We are V lucky on the Isle to have many talented musicians. The Spyglass Inn on Ventnor Esplanade always have live music on and last night we saw one of our favourites JC & Angelina
It hopped.

I am trying to shop local and buy handmade :-)

It's not all that easy though is it? ...... even when you live on the beautiful Isle and we have so much local lovelyness. I must try harder!
I thought this print was cool - from Linzie Hunter's gorgeous flickr collections.

We all need more ....

Hats. No question.
I have discovered so many inspiring must-haves via wonderful Etsy
First up for May is the hugely talented Ms KankalinHats
Spread the word!

I waaaaant one!

Here I am searching for wholesale deckchair canvas online (all ours are getting a bit too vintage!) and I discovered the 'odd' website.
I nearly cried with longing when I saw this rocker.
A 'proper' swinging sofa based on a family heirloom - ideal for a Vintage Vacation!
Gorgeous, gorgeous - I am now saving up :-)

Talented Guests [part 1]

What a great idea.
Recent guest to our 1954 OVERLANDER trailer Jacqui Martin has had the brilliant idea of selling beautiful party bags filled with scrummy stuff. I first thought 'oooh these look like they will be ££££' but not so! Wish the little things had been around when our daughter was small. I am most specially liking the retro fabric bags. Please do a grown-ups version Jacqui!
